Forty-seven people were killed and 90 others seriously injured after the explosion ripped through a chemical factory located in an industrial park in Xiangshui County of Yancheng City at about 2:48 p.m. Thursday.
Xi on Friday demanded that all-out efforts be made to search those trapped, and the injured be timely treated and relief work be well done to maintain social stability.
