China Media Group releases Russian version of 'Classics Quoted by Xi'
A Russian-language edition of the "Classics Quoted by Xi" video series produced by China Media Group was launched in Moscow on Wednesday to coincide with President Xi Jinping's arrival in Russia for a state visit.

The series features quotes from ancient Chinese stories and classics used by President Xi in his speeches and articles. The series touches on topics including public welfare, filial piety, and mutual benefit and win-win results. It demonstrates the president's deep understanding of traditional Chinese culture as well as his thoughts on state governance.
The launch of the video series is part of an exchange program by media agencies in China and Russia to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Russian-language series was released by the Moscow-based All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company on Wednesday, and will be made available through other media outlets including St. Petersburg's Radio Metro.

"The launch not only opens a window for the Russian people to appreciate the thoughts and charm of President Xi Jinping; it also gives them a new way to understand the classics of Chinese culture," China Media Group President Shen Haixiong told the audience gathered for the launch of the series.

Its release during President Xi's state visit to Russia is a reflection of the deep love and respect that the Russian people have for the Chinese president, said Oleg Dobrodeyev, General Director of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. He said it was also a sign of the deepening mutual trust between the media and the people of the two countries.
China Media Group and the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company also signed a memorandum of understanding with each other during the launch of the series.
