China allocates disaster relief funds for landslide-hit Guizhou
China allocated 30 million yuan (about 4.35 million U.S. dollars) of disaster relief funds for southwestern Guizhou Province, where a landslide killed at least 11 people late Tuesday.

The funds, allocated by the ministries of finance and emergency management, will be used to support the search, rescue and relocation of victims, as well as other disaster relief work, the Ministry of Emergency Management said on its website Wednesday.
The landslide lashed a village in the city of Liupanshui at about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday. So far, it has left 11 people dead and 42 others missing. Rescue work is still underway.
