The 2019 International RoboSub Competition was held at NIWC Pacific TRANSDEC in San Diego, California, from July 29 to August 4, 2019.
The event, co-hosted by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) and Office of Naval Research (ONR), drew a total of 54 teams from some of the world's most prestigious universities this year.
In 2018, team HEU-AUV from the Harbin Engineering University won the championship for the first time after taking the competition for 5 times.
The Chinese team was also the first team besides the US and Canada to win the competition. RoboSub was first held in 1998.
