Shanghai Wild Animal Park starts receiving visitors at night

The Shanghai Wild Animal Park has become the first zoo in China to open at night, reports People's Daily.

Following a series of trial runs, an opening ceremony was held at the park on Thursday night.

Organizers will have more than 100 kinds of animals in display in six exhibition areas, which will feature unique lighting designs.

To increase the level of interactions between the visitors and animals, the park will also put some of its animals in parades.

Visitors will also have the chance to see circus performances, dine at animal-themed restaurants, and shop at night markets.
