No winner in a fight for parking: 3 cars stalled for 3 days
A driver in east China has won the support of the internet for teaching a fellow driver a lesson in parking ettiquette.
A man surnamed Sun was fuming when he drove home in his Range Rover only to find a Buick minivan in his rented spot at an underground parking lot last week.
Sun managed to contact the minivan driver through a security guard and asked him to remove the car, according to zjol.com.cn.
The driver, identified by his surname Yi, refused to oblige and argued Sun can't prove the spot is his.
Sun said he had a note with his license plate number hanging above the lot but Yi denied seeing it.
Both men refused to give in and Sun was heard in a viral online video which he posted saying "If you don't move I won't move." Yi replied "I'd love to remain in your way."
Sun left his car in front of Yi's so it blocks the Buick's way out. The two men agreed that "whoever moves his car first is a loser."
Sun placed another vehicle behind Yi's the next day, ensuring that the minivan couldn't get around his first car.

The minivan was later placed in another spot in the same parking lot by a forklift hired by property management, according to a report by Qianjiang Evening News.
Yi said he was provoked when he saw the video. "It was not such a big deal. It was my fault that I parked in the wrong place, but this young man cornered me with the 'loser' challenge. If I had moved my car, what would that make me?" Yi told the newspaper.
"Everyone knows about my car now. They will all think of me as a 'loser'," Yi said, adding he has other vehicles so he won't be driving the Buick for a while.
Sun said he is ready to put the whole thing behind him and hopes it will be a lesson to other people if they find themselves in similar situations.
