Coverage of the PRC's 70th anniversary to be screened live in cinemas

The celebrations in Beijing for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China will be screened in 70 domestic cinemas on October 1.

Audiences in the selected cinemas will see the event as it unfolds thanks to 4K ultra-high definition live coverage by China Media Group. It is the first time that the broadcaster has partnered with cinemas for a special event.

At the launch held for the event on Friday morning in Beijing, the president of China Media Group, Shen Haixiong, said the special National Day screening was part of the broadcaster's efforts to put to use the latest broadcasting technology such as 4K video and 5G networking.
