Scott Williams from the United States on 70th anniversary of PRC
70 years after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, China has become a major destination for global investors.
Data compiled by the UN show 139 billion US dollars of foreign direct investment flowed to China in 2018. The number represents over 10 percent of the global FDI last year.
Chinese authorities are scrapping foreign investment limits in key sectors including energy, car making and finance in a bid to attract international investors.
Scott Williams is Chairman of US China Investment Council, a Shanghai-based American business group.
For more on this, CRI's reporter Ding Heng earlier had a talk with Scott Williams. Check out the following audio clip for the full interview.
