Small aircraft manufacturer optimistic about China's burgeoning general aviation market
Technically, owning a personal airplane, even if you're not rich, and flying it by yourself to travel around or even to work is not as unrealistic as it seems to be, said Hong Yuning, General Manager and Senior Engineer of CETC Wuhu Diamond Aircraft Manufacture Company.
Situated in Wuhu City, east China's Anhui Province, the company has been producing and developing multi-purpose light aircraft since 2013.
Now, its star product – four-seat twin-engine DA42 – is developed with complete proprietary intellectual property rights, and has received orders from many clients. It's expected to deliver a total of 50 DA42 aircraft by the end of this year.
Cooperated with Austrian Diamond Aircraft Industries Company, CETC Wuhu Diamond was established by China Electronics Technology Corp (CETC) and the Wuhu municipal government in December 2013.
