Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Thursday condemned the terrorist attack that took place near London's Parliament building.

Li is paying an official visit to Australia, and said during a welcome banquet in Canberra that both he and his Australian counterpart Malcolm Turnbull have offered condolences to British Prime Minister Theresa May over London attack.

Both of them strongly condemned the act of terrorism, and firmly opposed terrorism in any form, Li added.

The attack, which occurred in broad daylight, has resulted in at least five deaths, including the suspected perpetrator and a policeman, and caused some 40 injuries.
