Chinese premier calls for joint efforts with Germany to promote trade liberalization

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Wednesday meets with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in an annual meeting between the two heads of government in Germany's capital Berlin.
During the meeting Li called for joint efforts to promote trade liberalization and investment facilitation.

Considering the rising trend of protectionism, China and Germany should continue to consolidate mutual trust and strengthen bilateral cooperation to send positive signals of stability, cooperation and development to the world, Li told German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Li Keqiang reiterated China's support for the European integration process.
He said as a comprehensive strategic partner of the European Union, China is ready to see a solidary, prosperous and stable Europe as it will be conducive to the world multipolarization and economic globalization.

Meantime Li Keqiang called on Germany to help China-developed large passenger plane C919 get an airworthiness certificate from the European Union.
Li Keqiang also expresses China's supports for Germany hosting a successful G20 summit scheduled for Hamburg in July.
He pledged China's willingness to work with other economies to promote the global economic governance for a strong, sustainable and balanced world economic growth.
Li arrived in Berlin Wednesday for an official visit to Germany.
