Kenyan President congratulates Xi on re-election

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta Tuesday sent a congratulatory message to Xi Jinping on his re-election as general secretary of central committee of the Communist Party of China.

In his message, Kenyatta said China has accomplished tremendous achievements over the past five years, and its overall national strength and global influence have grown rapidly. China’s huge success has not only brought prosperity to the Chinese people but also shed a new light upon the approaches to development around the world. All of this could not have been achieved without Xi’s great vision and strong leadership, he said, adding that he strongly believes in the coming years, China, under Xi’s leadership, will embrace an even brighter future.

Kenyatta said as a strong believer in and supporter of Kenya-China friendship and cooperation, he looks forward to working more closely with Xi, to further strengthen exchanges between the two parties and enhance the Kenya-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to a new high.
