Xi's top economic advisor to visit US

Liu He, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, will visit the United States from Feb 27 to March 3, the Foreign Ministry confirmed on Monday.

During the visit, the two sides will exchange views on China-US ties and the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang said at a daily news conference in Beijing.

Liu is also the director of the General Office of the Central Leading Group for Financial and Economic Affairs. Last month, Liu attended the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2018 in Davos, Switzerland.

As part of high-level exchanges between Beijing and Washington, State Councilor Yang Jiechi paid a visit to the US earlier this month.
