Senior CPC official meets UNGA president

Yang said China firmly adheres to the international system centered on the UN and safeguards international laws and basic norms governing international relations based on the purposes and principles of the UN Charter.

He said China pushes forward the joint construction of the Belt and Road to facilitate global interconnectivity and realize common development of different countries.

China stands ready to continue to work with the UN to promote the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and jointly cement the cause of global development, Yang said.

Espinosa said the UN highly commends China's commitment to multilateralism and is ready to conduct closer cooperation with China.
