China and Brazil are both major developing countries and emerging economies, and are each other's important cooperation partners, Li said, adding that the two countries have carried out fruitful cooperation since they established diplomatic relations 45 years ago.

China is ready to work with Brazil to consolidate political mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation to better benefit the two peoples and contribute to promoting world peace and steady development of global economy, Li said.

Noting that China and Brazil are each other's development opportunities, Li said faced with complex international landscape and the increasing downward pressure on global economy, China is ready to work with Brazil to further expand two-way opening up and promote mutually beneficial cooperation in energy and other fields.

China is willing to expand the imports of high-quality Brazilian products that suit the demand of Chinese market, and hopes that Brazil can offer convenience for China's aquatic and other products to enter its market, Li said.

Li added that China appreciates Brazil's measures to facilitate Chinese citizens' visits to Brazil, and stands ready to expand people-to-people exchanges with Brazil.

Bolsonaro said Brazil's development would not be realized without the world, or with the absence of China. Noting that the two economies are highly complementary, he said Brazil is ready to closely work with China and continue to be China's important cooperation partner.

Bolsonaro added that Chinese enterprises are welcome to invest in Brazil and participate in building its energy and other sectors, and Brazil is willing to take further measures to facilitate visa application to push personnel exchanges and promote the development of bilateral relations.
