Grammy-nominated comic Jim Gaffigan to perform in Beijing

Grammy-nominated U.S. comedian Jim Gaffigan is coming to Beijing for two stand-up shows later this month. 

Gaffigan has made a name for himself with his comedy, TV and film appearances. 

He is known as a "clean" comic, largely avoiding profanity in his acts, which mostly center around food and other daily observations. 

That has not affected his career or popularity. He has had a number of successful comedy specials in the U.S., including Mr. Universe and Jim Gaffigan: Obsessed. Both of the programs have been nominated for the Grammy Awards. 

Gaffigan had developed his own sitcom The Jim Gaffigan Show, in addition to appearing in other popular sitcoms such as Friends and That 70's Show.

Gaffigan's appearance in Beijing is part of his Noble Ape tour.  The comic will come to Beijing's VSports Bar for two shows on March 22nd, and his earlier show in the day has already sold out.
