Hong Kong veteran actors promote a new movie at film festival in Beijing

The ongoing Beijing International Film Festival is now being used as a platform to promote new movies, attracting a host of veteran actors and actresses from Hong Kong and Taiwan to the Chinese capital city.

On Tuesday, Hong Kong veteran actors Yuan Wah, Eddie Cheung Siufai and actress Yuan King Dan, along with Taiwan actress Vivian Chen Derong all attended a promotional event for a new food movie 'My Kitchen Lover' or Pao Cai Ai Shang Xiao Long Xia in Chinese.

Yuan has disclosed that he portrays an aged man with hypersomnia in the movie, so the shooting process for him was quite joyful and at ease.

Musician-turned-producer Yan Weiwen says the movie is about food and romance, and contains obvious elements of comedy that would appeal to youthful audiences.

In addition, Chinese singer Wulan Tuoya, an ethnic Mongolian, joked at the event that she sings the theme song for the movie because Xiao Long Xia or Red Swamp Crayfish in English is her favourite food.
