The fifth installment of the Hollywood live-action Transformers film series, "Transformers: The Last Knight," will hit the world's screens this summer.

Paramount Pictures said at the ongoing Beijing International Film Festival that grand celebrations to mark the 10th anniversary of the Transformers franchise are expected in Guangzhou city this summer.

The upcoming installment is a sequel to 2014's "Transformers: Age of Extinction." With 288 million U.S. dollars of earnings in China, the movie topped the country's box office that year.

This summer, Cade Yeager, played by Mark Wahlberg, will team up with the Dinobots while Optimus Prime searches for Quintessons and fights against Unicron.

Michael Bay is the director of all five movies in the series, which is based on the toys created by Hasbro and Tomy in the 1980s.
