Weibo, Billboard, Nielsen launch music chart product together

A real-time music chart co-produced by three heavyweights - Weibo, Billboard, and Nielsen - was released on Monday.
The product, named Billboard Weibo real-time music charts, is designed as the most authoritative music ranking on Chinese social media.
Weibo has an access to over 300 million users every month, meaning one in three Chinese uses Weibo to socialize. Music sharing and commenting are major activities that interests users, whose taste reflects the trends of pop music in China.
Each and every user's preference and clicks on songs will influence the music ranking.
At the same time, Billboard will continue to serve as a music weathervane as it has done since 1894. The move is seen as an expansion to the Chinese market for Billborad.
In addition, Nielsen is going to provide accurate algorithm support to guarantee the chart's authenticity.
