A selection of Audrey Hepburn's personal items and classic portraits will go on show in Hong Kong beginning this Friday. The items come from a collection of clothes, jewelries, shoes, portraits and film memorabilia owned by her family.
The exhibit is finishing a run in Shanghai, which has marked the first time Hepburn's personal items were displayed in China. The exhibitions in Shanghai and Hong Kong come ahead of a planned auction of the items at Christie's in London later next month. An online sale is scheduled for September 19, while an auction is set to take place at Christie's on September 27.
One of the most noted items up for sales is a working script of "Breakfast at Tiffany's" that belonged to Hepburn. It was dated August 3, 1960 and has handwritten notes written by Hepburn.
Born in 1929 in Brussels, Hepburn is still considered to this day to be one of Hollywood's most iconic actresses. She starred in the Broadway production of "Gigi" at the age of 22 and soon found another starring role in the film "Roman Holiday," which won her an Oscar for Best Actress.
Another memorable role for her came in 1961 when she starred in "Breakfast at Tiffany's." Hepburn remains one of the few actresses to win an Emmy, Tony, Grammy and Oscar.
The exhibit in Hong Kong will take place at the Landmark Atrium in Central and run until September 8.
