Ben Stiller on road trip to prepare 'Brad's Status' shooting
American comedian Ben Stiller has shared his experience on shooting the upcoming comedy "Brad's Status."
According to Stiller, he and his "on-screen son" Austin Abrams made a journey from Montreal to New York to help them get into character.

"Brad's Status" is a comedy following a father who offers to drive his son round colleges – a trip that triggered thinking on his own life, personal failures and choices.
The idea of a real road trip was originally Stiller's idea.
But his co-star Abrams didn't need much convincing to buddy up with the "Zoolander" star.
"Which was a fantastic idea because it really - I feel like before going to work I feel like it really it helped because we're supposed to be like father and son."
During an interview, Stiller said some dad-like embarrassing moments during the trip made their on-screen relationship feel real.
According to the actor, who's also a father of two in real life, he also brought his off-screen experience to his role.
"It's a big thing to play a father and son. Obviously as an actor you bring your own stuff to it. You have to show up and have whatever you have going on inside to personalize things. But the connection and the back and forth with the actors is really a huge part of it. So we were shooting up in Montreal. I live in New York and I said, 'Hey let's take a trip down to New York together; get in the car.' It ended up – it ended up being fun."
"Brad's Status" opens in the U.S. on Friday.
