Exhibition "Rhizome" presents characteristics of Chinese contemporary art

An ongoing exhibition of Chinese contemporary art, titled "Rhizome," recently opened at the Today Art Museum in Beijing.

Rhizome includes nearly 50 works of art with different forms by eight well known contemporary Chinese artists, including Sui Jianguo, Hu Jieming, Ni Haifeng, Xu Zhen, Jiang Zhi, Gao Weigang, and Wang Luyan.

The exhibition aims to summarize the unique advancement path of Chinese contemporary art, responding to the strategy of national cultural development. China's contemporary art has shown its spirit of autonomy and sense of subjectivity over the past decade.
