Dozens of theatre, opera, and ballet performances from around the world will grace the silver screens in cinema across China later this year.

A total of 57 filmed performances are due to be released. These include Bridge Theater's revival production of "Julius Caesar", the Olivier Award-winning play "Hangmen" written by multi-award winning writer Martin McDonagh, and the English National Ballet's reimagined performance of "Giselle".

A leading distributor in China for event cinema, Beijing ATW Culture Media Co., was responsible for curating the selection. The company launched its filmed theater performance program in 2015 in collaboration with leading international distributors.

According to the company, 16 titles will be available online through iQiyi Education for domestic audiences. The company is also launching a new product called New Live, which will showcase a growing collection of arts and culture programming.
