A new American animation called Show Dogs hit Chinese silver screens over the weekend.
SHOW DOGS is a family comedy about the unlikely pairing of a human detective and his canine partner. They go undercover at the world's most exclusive dog show to solve their biggest case yet.
It was the third-highest grossing animated movie of the weekend following "Magical Circus: Animal Crackers" and "New Happy Dad and Son, Adventure in Russia."
Film critics on Rotten Tomatoes depict Show Dogs a very American brand of children's entertainment, "crass and overbearing but harmless."
