Taipei theatre to stage a tale equivalent to The Arabian Nights
The Taipei If Kids Theatre Company is going to stage a Chinese version of "The Arabian Nights" in Beijing this weekend.
The tale, titled Dong Fang Ye Tan (东方夜谭) in Chinese, is about the upright and chivalrous attitude of ancient Chinese citizens.

"The backdrop is trimmed from a classic water and ink by a college professor in Taiwan. This very much Chinese-style backdrop is designed for real actors to perform martial arts on stage, which will rapidly rotate with some images created from a projector screen. So audiences would be stunned by this combination."
This is the eighth time for Zhao's Taipei If Kids Theatre to stage children's dramas in Beijing during the China Children's Theater Festival.
In addition, the theatre also opened a drama workshop in Beijing on Wednesday, inviting children to join and experience the pleasure of being part of a play.
