The multi-language movie was based on Indian-born English author Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Book."
The movie shows a darker side of "The Jungle Book" and focuses on the character of Mowgli, who was raised by a pack of wolves in Kipling's famous children's book.
It stars Freida Pinto, Christian Bale, and Rohan Chand.
Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor Khan also voice characters in the movie.
Khan said she was very excited to bud for the charater of Kaa, the hypnotic python.
"You know, teens, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, I think whether it's young girls, boys, I think there's always been a bit of 'Jungle Book' in them. There's always a bit of Mowgli. There's…We've grown up with him. All our characters, whether it's, you know, Baloo, Bagheera, Sher Khan, you know, Kaa for that matter."
Bachchan said he was excited with the way Netflix was bringing film industries from different parts of the world together on one platform.
"I think it's wonderful that you have a platform where you can aggregate work from all over the world. It's nice and it's a great platform to showcase Indian talent as well and I am very glad that these platforms are being made available to Indians."
The film is set to release worldwide on Netflix on Dec. 7.
