Der Elefantenpups, a classic German children's book, has recently been introduced to Chinese children via a special symphony concert.
At the concert, members of the orchestra wear different animal headdresses. They are divided into various groups in accordance with the types of musical instruments they play, which include copper pipes, woodwind instruments, percussions and string instruments.

While the young children are captivated by the story of how these animals gather to hold a concert in order to save their home zoo from being put down by city planners, they also gain symphony music knowledge.
In 2019, a total of 50 concerts named after the book "Der Elefantenpups" will be held nationwide in China.
