First Hainan International Film Festival come to a close

The eight-day Hainan International Film Festival closed in Sanya on Sunday. The festival included forums, ceremonies, and competitions. Actor Jackie Chan is the event's promotional ambassador.

A number of important awards were presented at the closing ceremony.

Chinese director Wen Muye won the top award for director in the Chinese language section with "Dying to Survive," which also earned the best film honor.

Chinese actress Yao Chen won the lead actress award for "Lost, Found."

Xu Zheng and Aaron Kwok shared the leading actor of the year for "Dying to Survive" and "Project Gutenberg."

French actress Juliette Binoche and Hollywood star Johnny Depp presented the leading actor award.
