TC Candler releases most handsome & beautiful faces of 2018

TC Candler, a professional film critic, released their annual lists ranking the world's most handsome & beautiful people on Friday.

"Aquaman" star Jason Momoa has been selected as the man who has the most handsome face for the year 2018. He's followed by Jungkook, a member of the South Korean boy band BTS, and British actor Idris Elba.

French model Thylane Blondeau is believed to have the most beautiful face on the female's list, followed by Israeli model Yael Shelbia and Tzuyu, a member of K-pop girl group Twice.

"Aesthetic perfection is only one of the criteria," according to the website of The Independent Critics, a group led by TC Candler that put together the lists after listening to public suggestions.

The Annual Independent Critics List of the 100 Most Beautiful Faces of the Year has been published annually since 1990 while the list for the handsome men has only been around for six years. It is an inclusive and diverse beauty list which involves celebrities from legendary stars to the freshest faces in various countries.

Eleven stars (7 male and 4 female) from the Chinese mainland are on the lists. Lay (Zhang Yixing) is ranked 18th in the men's category, while Dilraba Dilmurat (better known as Dilireba) is the 16th on the list of beautiful faces.

Zhang Yixing is a Chinese singer, songwriter, dancer and actor. He is a member of the South Korean-Chinese boy group Exo and its cub-unit Exo-M. This year, Zhang made his first US appearance at the music festival Lollapalooza where he collaborated with Alan Walker.

Dilireba is a Chinese actress of Uyghur ethnicity who has had leading roles in several TV shows and films. In 2018, she won the Audience's Choice for Actress award at the China TV Golden Eagle Award.
