The popular Russian TV drama series "How I Became Russian" gets a Chinese remake in a movie, which features a blend of both Russian and Chinese cultures and customs.

The film tells the story of a young man from Shanghai seeking his beloved Russian girlfriend. However, the girl's father is tough towards him, and the young Chinese boy is also faced with challenges from her ex-boy-friend.

Providing a Russian sense of humor, it is scheduled to hit Chinese theatres on January 18.
