A new comedy 'How I Became Russian', jointly produced by China and Russia, has been rescheduled to open in the Chinese cinemas on Jan 25th.
The cast, which includes Chinese director Xia Hao, actor Dong Chang and Russian director Akaki Sak-hel-ash-vili, recently announced the news together in the Russian embassy in Beijing.
In director Xia Hao's eyes, lead actress Lisa Jenova (丽萨·加纳诺娃) is very knowledgeable about China.
"She's never been to China before. But she's quite interested in Chinese culture. The Internet has made her better informed and quite familiar with fresh things that happen in China. Unlike the older generation of Russians who still think the Chinese living life like in the 1950s or 60s, the young generations of Russians are well aware of modern-day China's development."
