Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds drums up attention for new Deadpool movie in China

Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds brought his unique brand of humor to Beijing as he talked up the release of his new film.

Reynolds, who stars as the unconventional superhero Deadpool, has gathered a lot of Chinese fans.

The 42-year-old actor says there are plenty of surprises in store.

"The thing I love most is that some of the movies that I was influenced by when I was young is something that we've really exploited on Deadpool which is easter eggs everywhere. There are about five huge ones that people have never found only the filmmakers know. Brad Pitt and Matt Damon, yes, they are in this movie, in Deadpool 2, but there are a lot of things in the movie that are easter eggs. In a way, you've got to watch the movie really carefully".

"Deadpool 2: I Love My Home" is set for general release across the country on Friday.
