'Alita: Battle Angel' receives its world premiere
Writer and producer James Cameron premiered his latest offering "Alita: Battle Angel" in London on Thursday night (31JAN19).
The manga movie, which is directed by Robert Rodriguez, has been a labor of love for Cameron, who was happy to "brag" about the film.
"We were getting a really good reception for this film, people really seem to love it. It's the end of a 20-year road for me. Robert took that baton from me just two and half years ago and he's delivered a hell of a movie. I can brag about the film because I didn't direct it".

"Alita: Battle Angel" tells the story of cyborg Alita (Rosa Salazar) who awakens without memory in a dystopic world where she's taken in by a compassionate father figure Dr. Dyson Ido (Christoph Waltz). As she learns to navigate her new world, she begins to discover her latent fighting powers and develops feelings for street-smart Hugo (Keean Johnson).
"Alita: Battle Ange," which has an estimated budget of $200 million, will be released in theaters in the UK on February 6th.
