A Japanese movie called "Natsume's Book of Friends" opened in China yesterday. On the first day of its release, it garnered over 5000 reviews and 8.6 rating on Douban.

The story describes the daily life of Natsume and his cat teacher.

The comic book that the movie is based on has been serialized since 2006 in China.

The anime was broadcast on TV from 2008 to 2018.

The film received a lot of attention before its release.

The promo song is sung by popular Chinese star Wang Yuan, who is a member of the popular teen group TFBoys.

The Chinese title of the song is translated as "As long as there are people you want to see, you are not alone." It conveys the theme of "loneliness and companionship, reunion and farewell."
