Stars Lupita Nyong'o, Elisabeth Moss and Winston Duke joined him on the red carpet.

"I hope it's the kind of film that makes people want to talk about it, kind of unpack the ideas in it. I think that's what Jordan Peele does so well. you know he gives us a lot to think about and so I hope audiences feel that way about it," said Nyong'o.

The horror follows a family a four whose life turns upside down when their doppelgangers start terrorizing them.

Nyong'o said it was "exhausting" playing two characters who are trying to kill each other.

"It was a serious challenge and it was about finding a distinct vocabulary for each character and like trying to sort it out in my head long enough to be able to play them."

"Us" is out in wide release in U.S. cinemas on 22 March.
