Sandra Oh is set to become just the third woman of Asian heritage to host "Saturday Night Live" since the show premiered over 40 years ago.

The actress wrote on Instagram that the experience will be "terrifyingly FUN."

Chinese-American rapper/actor Awkwafina, known for "Crazy Rich Asians" and "Ocean's 8," hosted "SNL" in October.

Lucy Liu, the daughter of parents from Beijing and Shanghai, hosted SNL in 2000.

The second season of "Killing Eve," Canadian-born Sandra Oh's current TV drama, is due to come out just days after Oh's "SNL" appearance.
