"It is a tremendous honor to join the ranks of talent whose stars and legacies line Hollywood Boulevard," she said. "As a little girl from Orlando, Florida who got her start singing The National Anthem, I'm not sure I ever remember having dreams this big. I never thought something like this would actually come to life but yet here we are and it is deeply humbling, and weird."
The 34-year-old actor was joined by her "This Is Us" co-stars.
Moore's career began at the age of 15 when she released her debut album "So Real" which produced the 1999 hit single "Candy." She later went on to star in the 2002 film "A Walk to Remember" alongside Shane West.
"Recently, I have found myself stepping into my power in a new way. I have, I am finally starting to understand and own who I am. I have discovered a sense of authenticity and confidence in what is next and I feel really lucky. It may have taken a long time to get here and a long time to feel comfortable in my skin but hard work is what grounds up. It's what makes us reach further than the day before and trust in our lead".
The season three finale of "This Is Us" is scheduled to air on April 2. Moore said she'll use the show's hiatus to "work on new music."
