'Roswell, New Mexico' stars tease 'insane' first season finale

"Roswell, New Mexico" star Jeanine Mason is teasing an "insane" first season finale to the sci-fi series.

Mason stars as the scientist daughter of undocumented immigrants in the reboot of "Roswell," which ran from 1999-2002 on The WB and UPN. She returns to her hometown to discover that her high school crush is an alien. The new series uses its border-state setting to include politics as a backdrop to the sci-fi action and love story.

Mason says the final episode on The CW network will cause fans "massive dissatisfaction if there is not a season two with this show."

"This has to be huge. And then there is a reveal that we couldn't believe it when I was first told it was happening. It just honestly – my mouth opened. I couldn't imagine it. And it just sets us up for how are you even going to make that work in season two? So I hope we get to do it. That's the best thing when you like write the writers into a mess, like into a knot. I'm like – you guys are brilliant! I can't wait to see what you do. "

The show's finale will be released on Netflix in April.
