Fan Bingbing reappears following tax evasion case

Chinese actress Fan Bingbing has made her first public appearance since news broke of her tax problems last year, which has seen the star hit with a fine of 800 million yuan (119 million US dollars).

Fan Bingbing has been spotted at a banquet celebrating online video platform iQiyi's ninth anniversary.

Her reappearance in public has been documented in photos put out on an online fan page.

Fan Bingbing had not been seen in public since allegations of her tax evasion came to light in October. Investigators say she evaded roughly 7.3 million yuan ($1.07 million) in personal income and business taxes during her work on Chinese film "The Bombing."
