Kelly Clarkson hosts Billboard Music Awards next week
Pop star Kelly Clarkson has plenty on her plate: she's hosting next week's Billboard Music Awards, she voices a lead character in the new "UglyDolls" movie and she's a coach on hit singing series "The Voice."

The latest season of "The Voice" includes a new format used previously in other countries - cross battles in which coaches can end up with different numbers of singers on their teams.
"I love the cross battles. I know people are on the fence or whatever with what's happening, but, I think it's so key to, make it more about the artists and not the coaches. Because before, it's all about, 'Oh well, we do this so it's fair to the coaches, so they all have an equal amount going into...' Who cares? We're not winning -- we're not really, this isn't about us, it's about them. And, the best people will stick around if it doesn't matter how many are left on our team, whether it's two or nine."
She also put in work on Easter. She hit the studio to record music for her next album, which doesn't yet have a release date.
Clarkson will host the Billboard awards on May 1 in Las Vegas.
