A 30-meter long painted scroll featuring grasslands, distant mountains, dead trees and white clouds has been hung on the walls of Minsheng Art Museum in Beijing. It is part of artist Su Xinping's solo exhibition.

His other works, like human portraits, also convey a feeling of anxiety, affected by the relentless noise in public places.

Su Xinping is a Chinese painter who was born in 1960. His works have been featured in numerous exhibitions at key galleries and museums abroad, including the Omer Tiroche gallery in London and the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum in East Lansing, Michigan.

With a high reputation for woodblock prints in China, Su said his main medium of art on display now is oil paintings on canvas.

The exhibition selected his works created over the past three years, which include sketches, oil paintings, prints and video art.

Su's solo exhibition will run until June 9th.
