Typically, female country artists only get one or two slots on a tour or festival. But on Carrie Underwood's new Cry Pretty 360 tour, six women will be behind the mic throughout the show.

Underwood picked opening acts Maddie & Tae, and Runaway June to open for her arena tour that starts May 1 in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The seven-time Grammy winning singer released her chart topping "Cry Pretty" album last year and the tour will hit more than 50 cities through October.

"Honestly, I've seen other ladies now, like, taking their friends out," she said. "I feel like it's been a really great time for women to kind of come together and just be like, 'Let's support each other. We're all in this together. Let's be all in this together, you know?'"

Underwood, who has won ACM Entertainer of the Year twice, said that her main goal is to give fans the best show they've ever seen.
