George Clooney brings classic WWII satire 'Catch-22' to Hulu
George Clooney is directing and starring in Hulu's "Catch-22" miniseries, drawn from Joseph Heller's classic work about the insanity of war.

Clooney explained that the longer format allowed them to develop the characters beyond what could be done in Mike Nichols' 1970 classic movie.
"I thought it was a fun way to tell this story," He said "It's hard to tell this story as complex as it is in a two hour movie, so it's never been about the medium, although television and streaming has gotten much more interesting and fun, it was more about telling the story – it's about telling good stories that's all we really wanted to do".
Adopted at the time by opponents of the Vietnam War, Clooney and his director/producer partner Grant Heslov say the story that makes fun of the red tape and bureaucracy of war is relevant today and not tied to a particular conflict.
"Catch-22" will be released on Hulu on May 17.
