New 'Angry Birds' movie flies into Cannes with slingshot stunt
Sony's sequel to "The Angry Birds Movie" made its mark in Cannes on Monday (13 MAY 2019), firing a hatchling character off the Carlton Hotel pier using a slingshot.

Josh Gad, who provides one of the lead voices for "The Angry Birds Movie 2" took part in the stunt. He voices Chuck the canary for the second time.
"It really is a movie about frenemies uniting," He said. "In this case, the birds and the pigs who were enemies in the first films have to come together to face a common enemy, the new villain Zeta brilliantly - played by Leslie Jones and Chuck I think is... is going to be going through some things that are going to test his patience, but the result is hilarious."
A new clip shows the pigs joining forces with the birds against a new threat that puts both of their natural habitats, Bird and Pig Island, in danger.

The "Angry Birds Movie 2" will be released in the United States on August 14, marking the 10th anniversary of the release of the original "Angry Birds" game it is based on.
