"Rocketman" stars Taron Egerton and charts John's rise to fame. It also shows his ups and downs including the superstar's battle with addiction.
"I mean, you're seeing your life as it was, it was fantasy. The sequences were fantasy but the reality is that's how I was and I'm just relieved. God, I'm so glad I don't have to do that anymore. I'm so glad that I can wake up in the morning, see my children, see David, and not have to deal with that awful behavior and awful addiction."
John expressed being thrilled with how the film came out.
"This is the film that I wanted to make. It's been on and off so many times but it's the film that I wanted to make. I wouldn't change one thing about it so it's been wonderful. We want audiences to love it. We want them to connect with it."
