Jury line-up announced for 2019 Shanghai Int'l Film & TV Festival

The organizing committee of the 2019 Shanghai International Film & TV Festival has revealed the jury list for the Golden Goblet Award of the 22nd Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF), and also announced the Chinese TV dramas shortlisted for the Magnolia Awards, which will be given away at the 25th Shanghai TV Festival (STVF).

The president of the feature film competition is Turkish director & screenwriter Nuri Bilge Ceylan. The Jury includes Italian director & screenwriter Paolo Genovese, Chinese actor Wang Jingchun, and Indian director Rajkumar Hirani.

This year, SIFF plans to set up a "SIFF ASIA" framework, which will include a Film Panorama, a Film Salon and more in addition to the Asian New Talent Awards.

The gala will be broadcast live for the first time on the evening of June 15. This live broadcast will become the first case of using 5G+4K technology to broadcast large-scale cultural activities in the country.

On the evening of June 14, the Magnolia Awards will be announced at a ceremony.

The Golden Goblet Award of the 22nd Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) will be announced on June 23.
