A cinema in Fangshan district has recently become the first IMAX theater in Beijing to use lasers to deliver sharper and brighter images.

The launch of this new IMAX theatre took place on the weekend, marked with an advance screening of "Godzilla: King of the Monsters."

Directed by Michael Dougherty, actresses Vera Farmiga and Millie Bobby Brown along with Zhang Ziyi starred in the movie, which also has a powerful cast of monsters.

The movie will go into wide release on Friday.
