Hemsworth and Thompson step into the roles Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones made famous. In the sequel, the duo continues to deal with attacks around the world while searching for a mole in the MIB organization.
Hemsworth, who just completed the last Marvel 'Avengers' film, says the challenge of joining the MIB franchise was no different than any other.
"Just the same pressure about wanting it to be good and truthful and fun and you want an audience to accept it and all that," said Hemsworth."This was exciting to do something that I hadn't done before. It had a different sort of contemporary feel to it. Coming off 'Endgame' was one of the most amazing experiences I've had in my career, and to come into this, a franchise that I grew up on and loved was just as exciting to be honest".
