Officially named "Remembrance of Earth's Past," the three-part saga is more widely known by the name of its first book "The Three-Body Problem."

It's currently in the script adaptation stage, and is due to be shot using 3D technology.

The sci-fi sector in China is said to be growing.

Earlier this year, the movie adaptation of Liu Cixin's "The Wandering Earth" became China's second-highest grossing movie of all time.
