Chinese actress Fan Bingbing, who has recently returned to the limelight following legal problems for tax evasion, has announced an end to her relationship with actor Li Chen.

The announcement has been made on the actress's Sina Weibo account Thursday evening. "People may experience various farewells throughout their lives. Thank you for all your support and love. We are no longer us, meanwhile we are still us."

Her announcement was later forwarded by her one-time fiance Li Chen, confirming the news. The pair's break-up has been the talk of Weibo.

Their break-up was first rumored last year after Fan Bingbing became embroiled in her legal troubles. But following months of silence, Li Chen later posted a message, reading "No matter how difficult it may be, we will get through this together."
